Thanks for stopping by.
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Frank Buckoski and have been a resident of Brevard County for fifty years. After high school graduation in upstate New York and attending Mohawk Valley Technical Institute majoring in electrical engineering,
I moved to Titusville in 1958. I worked at Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center for eleven years. I worked on the first re-entry vehicles designed to carry a nuclear weapon on our missiles, and then in Reliability on the minuteman Weapons System and Apollo program.
I then became the Building official for the city of Titusville in 1969 through 1971. I was in charge of all building inspections, enforcing twenty-one ordinances and the condemning and demolishing of approximately eighty unsafe buildings.
I have been in the construction business since 1972, first working for other companies and then in my own business for the last thirty years. I specialized in large metal buildings, i.e. airplane hangers for both private and government sectors. I also built several churches in the mid Florida area. Other highlights were: I was the builder of the Hovermarine manufacturing building in Titusville and then accepted the position of Supervisor of manufacturing of the first three 60-passenger ridged-side wall hovercrafts at the Titusville factory.
-
I created Disney topiaries armatures, and manufactured, grew and sold small topiaries through outlets from Seattle to London
-
In 1992 I was a candidate for the county commissioner seat in District 1.
-
I was the general overseer of an 80-acre subdivision in the North Georgia Mountains.
-
I have been retired from the building business since 2006.
-
I keep busy with my antique car collection and am involved in volunteering in the planning and construction of an orphanage and church in Honduras
